I'm blissfully swept away in his intensity.....that voice: sometimes a deep plaintive call, then up high, piercing my soul.....the music: here pulsing, buzzing deep and dark, there bare, stripped to the bone. Both gold and thorns. Love it.

This has been a slow burn solo project with tracks recorded over the last 3 years. A lot of thanks is due to friends and family and fans who have been super supportive through the entire process.

The song Postcards, and in many ways the entire album is tugging at the beleaguering paradox of being in total control of ones actions & outcomes while also barely clinging to the shred of freewill that we theoretically hope we have. I often try to make choices with the understanding that I both have and do not have control, all at once.

Postcards breaks this idea into the separate instances; being helplessly controlled by an avalanched, which becomes an oddly peaceful reminder to acquiesce, and remembering the power of learning to walk for the first time.
